MEET THE TEAM

We are Pete and Alice Brokopp.  We have been married and doing ministry together since 2000.  Pete grew up in Gabon, the child of missionaries, and feels more like an African than an American.  Alice was born in North Africa and spent her younger years in France as her family reached out to Arab Muslims.   As adults, Pete became a youth pastor in Lexington, NC while Alice served in Burkina Faso, W. Africa, working with youth and teaching at an International School.  We met in Burkina and ministered with our children, Charity ('01), and Sam ('04), discipling and training youth leaders, welcoming teams and interns from the States to carry out the National Church's vision, and living out God's love by meeting peoples' needs -- giving food during a famine, basic living items during a flood, and clean water to 200,000 people.  Our last assignment was working with Envision in the national office; Pete was the Coordinator of Strategic Development.  But our passion is to reach the international unreached community with the love of Jesus Christ, plant churches among them, and disciple them so they will reach others.  That's why we are now in Clarkston, where it is believed that there are people from 90 unreached people groups!

ABOUT THE SITE

Envision Atlanta is a response to the migration of peoples to Atlanta from all around the world.  There are over 700 people groups represented in the Metro Atlanta area.  Many are from unreached people groups and still more are from countries where our C&MA missionaries can't go.  Our site is located in Clarkston, GA on the East side of Atlanta.  Hundreds of refugees from all over the world are placed in Clarkston each year.  It is common place to see people walking down the streets in clothing traditional to their native countries and ethnic food is easy to find.  English is rarely the first language spoken by most of the residents of Clarkston.  There are many religions represented here; you will find a Buddhist Temple, a Hindu Temple and a Mosque all on the same street.  This is why we must advance the Kingdom of Heaven in Clarkston. You can learn more on their website, www.envisionatlanta.org.
