MEET THE TEAM
Mindy came to Mexico in 2012, as an intern, then became a Site Associate, in 2013, and most recently, the Site Coordinator, in 2017...all of which proves that God does exceedingly more than we ask or imagine (Eph 3:20). Mindy comes from the beautiful state of Washington. She previously served with the C&MA, in Germany, from 2004-2006, as a Missionary Associate. She received her Master's of Intercultural Leadership, from Crown College, in 2011 and was consecrated by the Alliance, in 2016. Mindy loves coffee any time of the day, especially accompanied with good conversation. She also loves to teach anything about Jesus and the Bible and lastly, you should know, that while her most embarrassing moments happened while speaking Spanish, she enjoys the language!
ABOUT THE SITE
Envision Mexico serves in Guadalajara, a large city of 5+ million, in the state of Jalisco, in central Mexico. Guadalajara has 5 C&MA churches and a seminary, within the city limits. Catholicism is a major religious influence. It is estimated that 90-95% of those in Guadalajara are Catholic, however, Catholicism tends to have more connection to witchcraft and superstitions, than what might be found in the USA. Our goal is to help develop a healthy, indigenous, church-planting movement here in Mexico.
Alliance missionaries arrived in Mexico, in 1954 and have been serving in Guadalajara, since 1993. Today the C&MA national church consists of approximately 7,000 members. Our workers are involved in higher education, leadership development, church planting, and more. Envision Mexico was the first Envision site; formally, for 12 years, in Ensenada, Baja California, but as of March 2018, serving in Guadalajara!
