Robert & Amy grew up in Ohio and have dated since high school. Robert earned a degree in Russian Studies and Amy in Social Work before Robert joined the Navy and worked as a translator for several years. They left the military and settled their back in rural Ohio with plans to stay there forever. However, God began stirring in their hearts that he had different plans for them.

Through a very difficult time, Robert & Amy ended up moving  to Maine for five years where Robert worked in healthcare administration. They continued to wait on God to reveal his plans for their lives. In the midst of the confusion, God was working and making plans for their family of eight to move to Providence and begin Envision Providence. Envision Providence held their Grand Opening on Oct 6, 2018.

Providence is one of the least Christian cities in America.  It is surrounded by the rest of New England and many other cities that also suffer from spiritual poverty.  Envision Providence is located in the Elmwood neighborhood of South Providence.  Elmwood is one of the most ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse neighborhoods in the city and also has one of the lowest median incomes.  At least 70% of children under the age of 6 speak a language other than English at home.  Envision Providence is shining the light of Jesus to the community and we would love for you to come and serve alongside us.  Find out more at
